Elisabeth Norz

scientist in sports

I know from own experience as a competitive athlete about intensive training sessions being extremely stressful on certain days of the menstrual cycle, some times even painful, but there are also periods of high stress tolerance. My research has shown female sex hormones strongly influencing the performance of women not only subjectively, but also objectively measurable. This logically results in the need binding the training closely to the menstrual cycle and thus consciously incorporating the natural female rhythm into the training control.

Benefits of a workout that focuses on the menstrual cycle:

  • Better exploit potential
  • Reduce the risk of injury
  • Increase wellbeing
